Not necessarily. If you first want to record laps, sectors and session progress, ST1 Track lets you begin with your iPhone. Dedicated equipment remains relevant for more advanced telemetry requirements.
Is ST1 Track more accurate than an AiM or Alfano?
ST1 Track does not claim to be more accurate than dedicated motorsport hardware. Specialized devices use their own sensors and GPS hardware. ST1 Track offers a different approach: begin timing and analyzing without buying another device first.
Can ST1 Track analyze braking zones?
Yes. ST1 Track session analysis includes braking information alongside lap times, sectors and speed.
Does lap timing continue when my iPhone is locked?
Yes. ST1 Track can continue timing during an active session while the iPhone is locked.
Can I create a track that is not already available?
Yes. ST1 Track allows new tracks and layouts to be created.
